NZ resort town pushes its luxurious side

Ten of Queenstown’s luxury tourism providers are joining forces to market the leading New Zealand resort.

The foundation members of Queenstown Prestige will work together to convey a clear profile of luxury in the city, bringing their experience, passion and marketing efforts under one umbrella.

Foundation members comprise multi-award-winning accommodation providers Eichardt’s, Touch of Spice, Blanket Bay, Matakauri Lodge and Sofitel Queenstown, luxury leather goods retailer Louis Vuitton, Queenstown Opal Centre jewellers, Over The Top Helicopters, Mount Edward Winery and high-quality transport company BLACK.

Eichardt’s General Manager Holly Taylor and Touch of Spice General Manager Fiona Stevens said the alliance had evolved to deliver a clear, concise and consistent message about the standard of luxury providers in Queenstown.

“Most of us have worked together to some degree or other in the past to deliver a seamless standard of the highest level of service to clients,” said Ms Taylor.

“Now, collectively, we’re going to work together to showcase the finest that Queenstown has to offer, and as a group there’s a lot of strength in that.”

Ms Stevens said the initiative would be launched at an exclusive function to be held at a mystery location in Queenstown on the evening of 23 May.

“The launch will showcase Queenstown as New Zealand’s ‘leaders of luxury’ over the course of an evening, attended by a select group of key luxury buyers and media from around New Zealand and overseas,” she said.

“We aim to get across a clear and consistent message from a like-minded group of businesses working together to show that we know the true meaning of luxury, and that we are more than capable of delivering on it.”
