Destination: Greek islands:

Sifnos and Milos become an Icon journey*

The lesser-known Greek islands of Sifnos and Milos are combined in an Icon Journeys private 11-day Island Explorer tour.

Price range from $3465 to $4930 per person, twin-share, depending on the choice of four hotel styles, and include private touring, plus driver, accommodation, all breakfasts plus a lunch, transfers, meet/assist services, private guides, fast ferries and all entrance fees.

This tour is available right through the May–September season.

After three days in Athens, travellers discover the beaches, villages, archaeological sites and tavernas of these two island gems, as well as taking cooking lessons in Sifnos and Milos, trying ceramic potting, visiting the site where the Venus de Milo statue was discovered, and cruising on a catamaran to visit and have a swim at the marine grottos of Kleftiko.

This package is from Icon Journeys’ first brochure, which has just been distributed to travel agents.

The islands are in the more remote western Cyclades group, about 130 kilometres east of Athens. Sifnos is 15 kilometres long and 7.5 kilometres wide, with a permanent population of 2442. Milos Island is 23 kilometres long and 13 kilometres wide, with a permanent population of 4700. They are largely untouched by development and remain in their natural state.
