SeaDream heads for Caribbean's old pirate haunts*

SeaDream Yacht Club’s five-star boutique motor cruisers SeaDream I and SeaDream II already access many small, remote Caribbean islands that larger cruise ships have no chance of getting to.

Now the company has unveiled even more out-of-the-way islands for the coming November-to-April season.

With just 55 staterooms taking a maximum 112 guests pampered by 95 crew, the SeaDream twins will include the exclusive and unoccupied Norman Island in the British Virgin Islands — reputedly the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island, and a popular haunt for snorkellers wanting to check out the cave said to have once held pirate treasure.

SeaDream I and II will also visit for the first time the Spanish Virgin Islands of Culebra, Culebrita and Vieques — all famous for their beaches, and the latter also for its unique bioluminescent bays.

And to ensure guests enjoy the most of these Caribbean hideaways, the mega motor yachts that already carry Zodiacs, water skis, banana boats, wave runners and a “floating island” with snorkelling equipment, will also have new twin-hulled Hobie Cats, Laser sailboats and glass-bottom kayaks.

SeaDream’s prices include all five-star dining, wines with lunch and dinner, beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks from the open bars, nightly cocktail gatherings, all power-and-sail watersports (in ports where permitted), mountain bikes for shore excursions, a 30-course golf simulator, gratuities, and port charges and taxes.

Currently discounted prices start from US$3191 per person for seven nights. See your travel agent or visit www.seadream.com.
