No wonder they call it yachting

I'm indebted to fellow travel writer Frank Linn for this quite startling recent photo from the Caribbean.

The big ship is the 90,000-tonne Jewel of the Seas, which carries 2500 passengers looked after by 842 crew. The smaller ship is the 4260-tonne SeaDream II, which carries 112 passengers served by 95 crew.

It's not surprising that the latter's operators call themselves the SeaDream Yacht Club rather than a cruise-ship company.
