Jeremy Brennan ... flying solo and accompanying himself on the iphone!

POSTED: 20 FEBRUARY 2009

A Night Out With ...*

A Night Out With … will be presented at 7.30pm on Friday 6 March by Parramatta's Riverside Theatres and Mixed Company as part of the 2009 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival.

The show will feature an evening of lounge, acoustic, blues and rock pop blends from three of Sydney’s best queer singer-songwriters.

King Casual – aka Jeremy Brennan – Girl Most Likely, featuring Sarah Aubrey, and Brett Every will come together to showcase their own musical works involving the microphone, piano, guitar and several other instruments.

Brennan, an accomplished pianist and front man for the piano pop outfit King Casual, will be flying solo and accompanying himself on the iphone!

"I have a passion for music and technology, so this little machine has been quite the inspiration," he said.

His songs still delve into deeply personal territory but the soundscape will be bolder; a kind of future-pop.

Brennan perfected his talents through working alongside music greats such as Tina Arena, Paul Mac and Mardi Gras favourite DJ Mike Kelly. He believes in playing a unique mix of tunes: “I’ve never, ever done the same set twice.”

Girl Most Likely was formed after Aubrey decided to deal with her heartbreak by picking up a guitar, and their songs have featured on television promotions for hit shows including The L Word, All Saints and Home and Away.

The evening offers an opportunity for audiences to sit back and relax whilst enjoying the sounds of these talented performers.
