Katie Noonan to headline Jazz in the Garden at Vaucluse House* Katie Noonan will join a line up of Australia’s best young jazz talent including The Crusty Suitcase Band, Kristin Berardi and the Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra on Sunday 23 November at Jazz in the Garden, the Historic Houses Trust's annual outdoor music concert in the grounds of Sydney's Vaucluse House. Relax under a starlit sky with family and friends, choose from a delicious selection of food, enjoy a drink from the Angove Wine Bar and be entertained by the young blood of Australian jazz talent in the picturesque grounds of this historic house. Katie Noonan will be joined on stage by jazz ensemble Elixr, to entertain the crowd with much loved jazz tunes including songs from her brand new album, Blackbird, the music of Lennon and McCartney. The funky sounds of The Crusty Suitcase Band, a fresh powerhouse of horn music, will have crowds up and dancing as they perform both original compositions as well as the big band favourites of DJ Shadow, Cyprus Hill, James Brown, and Grand Master Flash. Award winning vocalist, Kristin Berardi will perform with the18-piece Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra, the most respected grouping of young jazz talent in Australia whose big band sounds have become a favourite with Aussie Jazz fans. *Based on media release issued by the Historic Houses Trust.
