The Chili Table, Six Senses Laamu.

POSTED: 22 JUNE 2011

Escape winter in the Maldives with Peter Evans*

Peter Evans, renowned chef and co-presenter of My Restaurant Rules, will be cooking at the new Maldivian Six Senses Laamu from 13-15 July.

His program includes:

13 July — A five-course degustation dinner featuring several of his signature dishes at LEAF organic restaurant for up to 30 guests.

14 July — A four-course seafood dinner at Deck, inspired by the catch of the day, for up to 20 guests.

15 July — An intimate cooking class for up to a dozen guests, followed by lunch.

In keeping with Six Senses' slow-life philosophy, Evans will be using as much local produce as possible, including herbs and vegetables from the island's own organic garden, as well as the freshest local fish straight from the Indian Ocean.

If you surf, another attraction! Laamu has its own revered break just off the beach. Plus exotic bars, dining under the stars and a superb spa.

Six Senses Laamu is the only resort on a virtually uncharted atoll which is deep in the Indian Ocean and a short plane ride south west of the Maldivian capital of Male.

The island is of outstanding natural beauty, powder white sand, lush tropical vegetation and crystal clear waters.

Its villas are eco-friendly yet luxurious in every way and sit on the beach or over the turquoise water of the lagoon.

Peter Evans ... will maintain Six Senses' slow-life philosophy.
